I've seen this mentioned also but I still don't believe that CCP actually put something great together for the 1.4 or 1.3 patch. Sorry CCP but I really don't think you can work that fast. |

hope in this game? no it's more like no faith in CCP, and believe me it's probably most of the Dust population including me that don't believe in CCP anymore or have very little faith in them. |

I still have faith in them. Most of the DUST population probably has no idea how game development occurs not understand that the Devs are only human and that new content takes time. Yes, it sucks waiting a month or two for basic fixes, but even small changes can have drastic effects which is why I appreciate CCP's willingness to take small steps before big ones.
Are you calling most of Dust population fools? |

That would be nice if they communicated with us more often, it would actually feel like they listen and care. |

fighters!
CCP won't get to this for along time, here's why. They still haven't given us the all heavy suits, maps still need to be bigger, tanks are too week and too expensive, we don't have the tanks from the other races yet, Dropships get taken down by anyone with an assault forge gun easily, faglocks and contact nades, we still can't sell stuff on the market, PC is laggy as fk on bad days, lag spikes in any type of battle are possible and happen every now and then, MURDER TAXIS, still only two types of MCC's , we're stuck in our quarters, still no PVE, beginner experience sucks, and much much more |

Abner Kalen wrote:Now that I think about this new "battle type" you would first get contracts or follow ancient digital trails to find the planets yourself. You can be hired by NPC characters, an EVE capsuleer, or you fund the mission yourself and you followed a trail of rumors and hacking into secure databases from your captains quarters (or a bar with secure proxied data line.
Once you locate the planet you send out planetary drones that you can use to manually scan, or they scan automatically but won't complete for hours or days. Once you've found an anomaly on a planet, you send a pod with several clones (5 - 10). Then a drone shuttles you to the atmosphere where you drop from orbit. Where you land is where you can be picked up. You can then drop spawn points but you can only carry a small number.
Your suit has a rough map of the area however you'll need to use your scanner to locate each clue to the potential treasure. Some sites are dead-ends and simply clues to elsewhere in the galaxy. Instead of a small exploration site, I'd prefer huge multi-planet completely randomized treasure hunts that several people or groups can race to the final treasure, either yielding great wealth or just really cool collectible artifacts from times long past.
It would be even cooler if you can decorate your living space with collectibles you pick up along your journey, or purchase off the market from others.
You'll fight NPC pirates, rogue drones, other Dust mercs looking to loot your body and perhaps even steal your clones, but you can bring up to 4 others on your quest (perhaps more if servers allow it, but there should be possibility of 3 or 4 other groups).
many ideas just like yours and probably exactly like yours but in different words have been discussed by many/most of us here. But things like this are many many years away, I wouldn't expect anything awesome until the PS4 version. |
